This is just befuddling to me.\u00c2\u00a0 If I allow myself to go as slow as I want to go, I average 5.7 mph.\u00c2\u00a0 If I try to go fast, then I average 5.6 mph.\u00c2\u00a0 Looks like I should just go at whatever pace I want to and it will end up being about the same, 5.6 to 5.7 mph.\u00c2\u00a0 How absolutely frustrating.<\/p>\n
However, today, when I was not trying for any particular speed, other than to stay above 4.5 mph, it was not even hard to rack up 3.2 miles.\u00c2\u00a0 If I had been doing a 5k, I would have finished in about 32 minutes, again leading me to believe that if I would really try, I could break the 30-minute mark in a 5k.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m gonna have to try that in the next month or so.<\/p>\n
I’ll be out of town for the next 3 days, but I look forward to possibly getting the chance to run with a young relative who is on cross-country at school.\u00c2\u00a0 She may have to run with one leg tied behind her back, though, so I can keep up.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
