Holy cow, I was supposed to cross train one hour and ended up not only running a 5k, but I jogged to and from the 5k event and I also went hiking for about 5 hours, too!\u00c2\u00a0 I think my total mileage for the day was right around 14 miles!<\/p>\n
I did a fun 5k with my favorite running buddy, Duane Brickner, and our new running buddy, Richie Laser, also showed up and ran with us.\u00c2\u00a0 Duane and I didn’t do our best time, but we didn’t do our worst, either, and I was pleased with our results, particularly considering that this wasn’t even a day I was supposed to run!<\/p>\n
My husband and I went hiking in the Superstition Wilderness and made it down to Tortilla Ranch and to the Peters’ trail.\u00c2\u00a0 We went in about a half-mile on the Peters’ trail, but it was far too overgrown with razor-sharp cats’ claw and I wasn’t really having any fun at that point.\u00c2\u00a0 We saw a cool tarantula on the way out and snapped a few photos<\/a> as well as a short movie<\/a> of it (click on download movie when you get to the page).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
