DAY EIGHTY-EIGHT – EASY – 5.4 MILES at 4.5 MPH

Again, my easy run was quite easy.  I didn’t even try to go fast at all and ended up with an average speed of 5.8 mph, which is not really slow at all, compared to where I started out at the beginning of this training program.  I even set out without my music and used my run to work on my traditional Thanksgiving poem.  We have a number of people over to our house each year for Thanksgiving and each year the attendance changes a little, and I write a poem that includes everyone, but I pretty much can’t write it ’till the day of the event because we often don’t know, much before that, who’s coming.  The weather was beautiful, there were others out running, and I ran a route that took me over the College Ave. pedestrian bridge, a favorite neighborhood running destination of mine.  Then it was back home for a FOOD FEST!  (I told myself it was all “carb-loading” for my long run the next day.)
