DAY ONE HUNDRED NINE – EASY – 7.4 MILES at 4.5 MPH

I wasn’t particularly interested in doing today’s run, but when I saw that it was my ‘easy’ run, I really just got over myself and got really excited. Great! It’s my easy one! That won’t even be hard! So, I didn’t even really think about it much, I just got ready and headed out in some direction, ready to turn around and come home at 3.7 miles away from home. The miles slipped away effortlessly and I kept a much higher speed than I needed to. It is really a weird thing that 7.4 miles isn’t even remotely daunting if I get to run it ‘slow,’ like 5.5 miles per hour. It is amazing to me how much the human body will adapt, if you simply give it time to do so.
