I can’t really remember anything interesting about today’s run, mainly because I’m writing this post like two weeks later, but what I do see, from my GPS data, is that I took 5k times for myself and got a 33:32 and a 34:22, each quite respectable times, considering that this was not one of my speed runs. I really wish I could find a local 5k race I could do to see how well I could do compared to others, in a real race, now that I’m getting in pretty decent running shape. I think with the excitement of the race and the potential to place in my age bracket, I could kick it up a few notches and easily come in with a 27- or 28-minute 5k. That would be so cool! I think I’m gonna look, again, for a local 5k I might be able to do. When I looked about a month ago, there was only the Cave Creek Luminaria run, for which I did register, but it got rained out. Bummer!
