DAY FORTY-FIVE – CROSS TRAINING – FOUR HOURS

I am exhausted!  For my cross training today, I rode my bicycle a little over 17 miles to a networking meeting, then almost 18 miles from the meeting to my office.  My GPS says I burned around 1200 calories doing that.  Good thing, because I think I easily ate an 1100 calorie breakfast at the meeting.  That’s a lot of work to have eggs, bacon, sweet bread and a pancake, but come to think of it, that breakfast was really worth the effort.

I got very disgusted with my MP3 player, though.  I was excited to continue listening to my 73-song marathon playlist and I can’t seem to figure out how to charge the battery properly, so it ran out on me about 3/4 of the way through my ride to the meeting.  That wasn’t so bad because at least I was almost there.  On the other hand, the ride home, without ANY music, was just brutal.  It’s amazing how much music helps to keep me motivated.
