This is awesome, this run wasn’t even a challenge. I could have gone as slow as 4.2 mph and still been within my training guidelines, but I actually averaged 5.3 mph without really even trying. I’m closing in on the half-way point on my training plan and I’m still managing, so I’m going to keep the faith that I will actually complete this marathon, uninjured, in less than 4 hours and 59 minutes. That would really be awesome. I’d be really pleased with that.
An added feature of today’s run is that I inadvertently came across the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk’s campgrounds, already nearly completed for the thousands of guests they’ll have tonight and the next night. I hope to catch some of the ladies walking through town today, although I don’t know their route and they don’t disclose it, for safety reasons, but I will be on the lookout for them this weekend.
