Resting today was just luxurious! I had my long run yesterday, went to bed early, enjoyed the hot tub, slept late, and didn’t run today. That was NICE! Plus, I was off of my 3-day juice experiment, so I actually ate a real breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner, after-dinner snack, and dessert! There are some benefits to all this training – I can eat a little more than when I’m not training, but I have to be careful not to abuse that because I most certainly did gain weight last time I trained for a marathon by telling myself I was entitled to have thousands of calories a day since I was ‘in training.’
