Alright, this is really getting to be a challenge. I need to get up early enough to do a 9.3 mile run, then come home and pack for Las Vegas, and get this done before Jon is up and ready to go. Well, somehow or another, I did manage. I planned, then, to spend the whole ride to Vegas sleeping, but I wrote out Christmas cards instead, so I didn’t even get a good nap out of it.
I was pleased with, and enjoyed, today’s run. I ran north up Priest Avenue to the Rio Salado, then just took that slightly to the East, to Hardy, then took that back down South to just past Baseline, then through a little of our neighborhood, and back home. No big whoop.
I took my 5k times and managed to get a 33:14, a 34:35, and a 32:45, in that order. I find it weird that the 3rd one was the fastest, but I was listening to my Marathon playlist and I do give myself about 6 miles of lollygagging to get going and I don’t really start trying to get any speed going ’till about mile 7 or 8, so I guess it does make sense after all.
